Joining, costs, the exam routes, ethics training, cancellation and badge rights.

How do I join?
Joining as a Community / Student Member is free and instant, sign up here. That gives you the newsletter, free Journal articles, the forum and the right to apply for the Foundation exam.
What does membership cost?
The front door is free. Earned credentials carry an annual fee: Associate (ABNNA) £25/yr and Full Member (MBNNA) £35/yr. Fellowship (FBNNA) is earned, not sold. Comparable bodies charge £30-35/yr just to join; here that buys an exam-backed credential.
How is a credential earned?
Each credential is earned by examination: sit the Foundation exam for Associate or the Full Member exam for Full Member (Foundation £20, Full Member £30). Everyone sits the same exam at the same standard, so the credential is never diluted.
When are the exams?
Exams run as scheduled sittings every 2 months (6 a year), by application. You apply and pay the fee, we review eligibility, then you choose a sitting date from the calendar.
Is there ethics training?
Yes. Every credentialed member (ABNNA, MBNNA, FBNNA) completes the Code of Ethics training and signs the affirmation before the charter is awarded. No charter is granted without it.
Can I cancel? What's the policy?
Membership is annual; you can cancel renewal anytime and keep access to the end of your paid year. There's no pro-rata refund of the current year, and a 14-day cooling-off applies to your first purchase under UK distance-selling rules.
What happens to my letters and badge if I lapse?
The credential is conditional on current membership. If you lapse, you must stop using the post-nominals, the member/practitioner badge and the Association logo, and you're removed from the directory. Re-joining restores them. This is the brand-use policy with teeth, enforceable because the Association owns its mark.
